Full Transcript: President and CEO Pat Geraghty Video Message on Driving Innovation

Health care is an ever-changing industry that thrives on innovation. And that innovation leads to healthier children, healthier families and healthier communities. I’m proud that GuideWell continues to be an innovative leader, dedicated to finding new ways to provide quality health care that remains affordable.

To do this, we’re collaborating with companies that are leaders in their fields to ensure our members receive high-quality care that is both innovative and affordable.

We’re working with meQuilibrium, which uses insights driven by data to help people build resilience, reduce stress and improve their problem-solving skills. This is especially important as we enter our ninth month of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic that has impacted nearly every aspect of our lives.

We’re partnering with the highly respected Mayo Clinic on a program that uses personalized technology to help patients with certain conditions receive hospital-level care and rehabilitation services from home instead of being admitted through the emergency room.

We’re helping some members with diabetes stay healthier, thanks to a unique virtual care experience with a trio of partners. Livongo and Teladoc offer members tools like connected devices to monitor blood sugar levels, real-time insights from their health data, and telehealth. All that data is available through our own Onlife Health platform.

Onlife brings end-to-end simplicity to population health and wellness, connecting and integrating people, technology and benefit design through our user-friendly engagement platform to guide members on the “next right thing to do” in their health care journey. Our Onlife team serves 13 million members across the country – including our own Florida Blue members.

And, after seeing a soar in the popularity of virtual care due to safety concerns from COVID-19, we’re offering $0 virtual visits with primary care physicians and behavior specialists for most of our members next year.

These are just some of the leading-edge steps we’re taking to help our members, employees and communities stay healthy. It demonstrates some of the ways we are moving to where health care is going, instead of staying where it is now.

We know there are innovative approaches to helping people get and stay healthy. We’re committed to not only finding them, but to leading the way in doing so.
