Pat Geraghty
Patrick “Pat” Geraghty

President and Chief Executive Officer

Patrick “Pat” Geraghty is president and chief executive officer (CEO) of GuideWell Mutual Holding Corporation, Florida Blue and GuideWell Group, Inc. GuideWell is a mutual insurance holding company and is a family of forward-thinking companies focused on transforming health care. The holding company includes Florida Blue; Triple-S Management; GuideWell Health; GuideWell Venture Group, including Onlife Health and PopHealthCare; GuideWell Source; GuideWell Connect; and WebTPA.

Geraghty is active in leading professional and community organizations. He is a member and past chair of the Florida Council of 100, a private, non-profit, non-partisan organization of Florida business leaders who advise the state’s governor on how to improve the economic growth of the state and the economic well-being of its residents.

He also serves as a member of the board of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, including chair of its Health Policy & Advocacy Committee (HPAC), National Institute of Health Care Management (NIHCM), a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the effectiveness, efficiency and quality of America’s health care system; America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP); and Tampa Electric Co. (TECO).

Geraghty holds a Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University and has participated in executive education programs at Harvard University School of Public Health and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

 

Chuck Divita
Chuck Divita

Executive Vice President, Commercial Markets

Chuck Divita serves as executive vice president, Commercial Markets. In this role, he is responsible for oversight and coordination of all commercial health insurance business within the enterprise. Divita is also responsible for leading the enterprise’s brand and marketing functions.

Throughout his career, Divita has been active in community and professional organizations. He currently serves on the boards of Availity as the chair, Prime Therapeutics, GuideWell-Sanitas and Vim. He is also the chair for the 2022 First Coast Heart Ball executive cabinet. Divita previously served on the boards of Life & Specialty Ventures, Florida Chamber of Commerce, Dean’s Council for the University of North Florida’s College of Health and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Jacksonville.

Divita holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both finance and accounting from Florida State University.

 

Roberto García-Rodriguez
Roberto "Bobby" García-Rodriguez

President and Chief Executive Officer, Triple-S

Roberto García-Rodriguez is president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Triple-S Management; a role he's held since 2016. He joined the company in 2008 as Vice President and General Counsel and became Secretary of the Board in 2010.

An active supporter of nonprofit organizations and community work, García chairs the American Cancer Society's CEOs Against Cancer, Puerto Rico Chapter and is a member of the Legacy Council of the Puerto Rico Boys and Girls Club.

García obtained a Bachelor of Arts at Harvard University, an M.B.A. at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a Juris Doctor at Stanford Law School. He also completed graduate studies in international relations and diplomacy at the school of Diplomacy of Spain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. In Puerto Rico, he is a licensed attorney.

 

Camille Harrison
Camille Harrison

Executive Vice President, Medicare and Chief Innovation and Experience Officer

Camille Harrison is executive vice president, Medicare and chief innovation and experience officer. In addition to overseeing the enterprise’s Medicare company, she is responsible for GuideWell Innovation and leads GuideWell and Florida Blue’s Customer Experience and Digital efforts.

She serves on the boards for the Florida Blue Foundation (as Chair), GuideWell Allegiance and GuideWell Source, and is a member of United Way’s Tocqueville Society. She previously served on the boards of The Early Learning Coalition of Duval County, Incepture and was Co-Chair of the 2018-2019 Go Red for Women Executive Leadership Cabinet.

Harrison holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business education from Montclair State University in New Jersey and completed the Advanced Management Program from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

 

Charlie Joseph
Charlie Joseph

Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Chief Legal Officer

Charlie Joseph is GuideWell’s and Florida Blue’s Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Chief Legal Officer. Joseph is accountable for leading the company’s corporate affairs group, which includes: Board Governance; Business Assurance; Business Ethics, Integrity and Compliance; Enterprise Communications; Legal Affairs; and Public Affairs and Community Engagement. He also serves as the Senior Legal Advisor to management and the Board of Directors on a wide range of matters. He has served as a member of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association audit committee and on the boards of various company subsidiaries.

Prior to joining Florida Blue in 1994, Joseph was a commercial litigator for Fulbright & Jaworski, LLP in New York City.

Throughout his career, Joseph has been active in the community. He currently serves as a member of the board of trustees at Jacksonville University and the River Garden Hebrew Home, an elder care facility in Jacksonville, Fla. He also serves as a member of the boards of directors of Jewish Family & Community Services and the Jacksonville Symphony.

Joseph holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Hamilton College and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law. He is a member of the Bars of the State of New York and the District of Columbia, and is certified as Authorized House Counsel under Chapter 17, Rules Regulating the Florida Bar.

 

Thurman Justice
Thurman Justice

Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and GuideWell Venture Group

Thurman Justice serves as executive vice president, chief financial officer and GuideWell Venture Group. He has overall responsibility for the financial areas of the enterprise including: Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting, Tax, Financial Planning, Procurement, Corporate Development and Strategic Investments, and Treasury and Investment Operations. Additionally, he is responsible for GuideWell’s diversified portfolio of businesses, which include GuideWell Venture Group, GuideWell Source, GuideWell Connect, Onlife Health and PopHealthCare.

Justice holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Central Connecticut State University and is a certified public accountant.

 

Gary Anderson
Gary Anderson

Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer

Gary Anderson is chief information officer for GuideWell and Florida Blue. In this role he is responsible for leading information technology functions, including infrastructure and architecture, information security, capability development and support, information management, and capability investment portfolio management.

Anderson studied computer science and electrical engineering at the University of Missouri.

 

Farley Kern
Farley Kern

Chief Communications Officer

Farley Kern is chief communications officer for GuideWell and Florida Blue. In this role she is responsible for leading a broad portfolio of strategic functions including public relations; issues management; media relations and social media; executive communications; internal/employee communications; communications with the company’s members, providers, agents and other stakeholders; and the creative and production department. Additionally, she is accountable for developing and leading an integrated communications strategy across the GuideWell enterprise’s family of companies.

Kern holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree from Duke University.

 

Amy Ruth
Amy Ruth

Senior Vice President, Human Services Group and Chief Human Resource Officer

As chief human resource officer, Amy Ruth brings her extensive knowledge of human capital development and talent management to provide executive leadership for the company’s human resources, diversity, corporate services and strategic facilities.

Ruth is active in the community and supports many different organizations across Northeast Florida. She serves on the board for Pine Castle and is a member of the Equality Means Business Advisory Board. She actively supports the MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation and the American Heart Association. She served on the board for the Jacksonville Speech and Hearing Center (2013-2019) and was the LUNG FORCE Chair in Jacksonville (2018-2019).

Ruth holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from Kennesaw State University.

 

Elana Schader, MD
Elana Schrader, M.D.

Senior Vice President, Health Care Services and President, GuideWell Health

Dr. Elana Schrader serves as GuideWell’s senior vice president, health care services and president of GuideWell Health. In this role, Schrader leads the health care delivery business within the GuideWell family of companies. She also is responsible for the development of the overarching clinical strategy for Florida Blue and leading clinical activities including care management, health promotions and wellness, pharmacy, quality, and clinical retail health initiatives.

She currently serves as a board member for the American Heart Association, WeCare, the University of North Florida Foundation, and is a member of the Dean’s Council of the University of North Florida Brooks College of Health. Additionally, Schrader is a United Way Stein Fellowship Mentor, a longstanding member of the GenerationW advisory board, and Florida Blue’s executive leader of RESPECT, the company’s LGBT and Allies employee community. She was named a 2018 Volunteers in Medicine Woman with Heart and honored as a Woman of Influence by the Jacksonville Business Journal in 2016. She is a graduate of the 2007 class of Leadership Jacksonville and is a member of the current Leadership Florida Cornerstone Class XXXVIII.

Schrader holds a Bachelor of Arts from Barnard College of Columbia University. She received her medical training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and trained in internal medicine at The New York Hospital of Cornell Medical College and the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at Columbia Presbyterian College of Medicine, and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business, Class of 2011.

 

Seth Van Essendelft
Seth Van Essendelft

Senior Vice President, Strategy, Corporate Development and Strategic Investments

As senior vice president, strategy, corporate development and strategic investments, Seth Van Essendelft is responsible for leading the enterprise’s strategic plan development with a focus on sustainability and growth, and overseeing market and competitive intelligence teams to provide key insights on national and regional competitors. He is also accountable for planning and directing all aspects of achieving GuideWell’s growth through strategic investments and business development initiatives, including acquisitions, joint ventures, business consulting and divestitures on behalf of GuideWell and its family of companies. Additionally, he leads all aspects of the transaction lifecycle including sourcing, execution of deals, and development of post-merger integration plans.

Van Essendelft holds a Bachelor of Science in management from the United States Coast Guard Academy and a Master of Business Administration with honors from The College of William and Mary.

 

Rafael Vasquez
Rafael Vasquez

Chief of Staff to the Office of the CEO

As chief of staff to the office of the CEO, Rafael Vasquez is responsible for assisting with the CEO’s plan and coordinating the strategic, cross-functional activities of the executive office, including managing executive committee efforts. Vasquez ensures that decisions are communicated and that action items are coordinated between the GuideWell business units. He also defines issues and decisions that need focus and involvement from the CEO’s office.

Vasquez is an Executive Sponsor of GuideWell’s HOLA Community, the Marketing Chair and an executive board member for the Children’s Bereavement Center in Miami and is a corporate executive advisory member for the Cuban National Council. He is also the Broward Prosperity Partnership Community Co-Chair and Vice Chair for Ft. Lauderdale’s American Heart Association.

Vasquez holds a Bachelor of Arts in public administration from San Diego State University and a Master of Business Administration from Saint Mary’s College of California. He also completed Leadership Essentials Executive Training at Columbia University.
