New facility designed for patient convenience with physicians, pharmacy, labs, radiology and more in one location with extended hours
GuideWell Medical Center became the latest addition to Lake Mary’s thriving Rinehart Health Corridor today with its official grand opening at 707 Platinum Point in Stirling Center. The 14,000-square-foot, two story medical center was specially designed for patient convenience and affordability as part of GuideWell’s goal to make quality health care accessible and affordable.
GuideWell Medical Center is one stop for patients’ medical needs with primary care physicians, pharmacy, laboratory services, radiology and visiting specialists conveniently housed in a single location. To better care for patients with limited schedules, physicians will have extended evening hours as well as weekend availability.
“At GuideWell we’re focused on reimagining and reshaping the health care system into a more integral and useful part of people’s lives. An essential part of that is making good health something that is easy to access and manage,” said Dr. Prakash Patel, chief operating officer of GuideWell. “The GuideWell Medical Center is dedicated to whole-person care. Providers will collaborate to deliver convenient, seamless preventative, acute and chronic care to their patients while reducing and managing complications of those with chronic conditions.”
The center will provide free health education classes on topics such as managing diabetes, healthy eating and understanding bariatric options, in addition to case management services in English, Spanish and French. Case managers will assist patients with ongoing medical needs when they transition home from the hospital, provide personalized guidance to those with chronic conditions, and work with community organizations to ensure patients have a safe, healthy environment at home.

The GuideWell Medical Center houses Florida Health Care Plans, a regional Health Maintenance Organization (HMO). Primarily it serves as a care location for patients who are members of Florida Health Care Plans or have a Florida Blue myBlue health plan. However, some services, such as the pharmacy, are available to any Blue Cross Blue Shield plan holder.
GuideWell Medical Center is the latest in a suite of GuideWell health care facilities in Central Florida, which include GuideWell Emergency Doctors, with three locations in the Orlando area providing high-acuity urgent care services, and GuideWell Primary Care, which recently opened in Winter Haven.
