Patrick J. Geraghty Elected to Serve on GuideWell Board of Directors

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Announced at the 2014 Annual Meeting of Members of GuideWell Mutual Holding Corporation (GuideWell), Patrick J. Geraghty was elected to serve a three-year term on the GuideWell Board of Directors.

Geraghty is chairman and CEO of GuideWell Mutual Holding Corporation, Florida Blue and GuideWell Group, Inc. GuideWell is a mutual insurance holding company and is a family of forward-thinking companies focused on transforming health care. The holding company includes Florida Blue, GuideWell Connect, GuideWell Health and Diversified Service Options, Inc.

He has served on the GuideWell board since the beginning of 2014 and on the Florida Blue board since 2011.

He also serves as a board member for a diverse group of organizations including the National Institute of Health Care Management (NIHCM), Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute, America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), the Oliver Wyman Innovation Center Advisory Board and the MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation. He is a member of the Florida Council of 100 and the Board of Trustees for United Way of Northeast Florida. In 2014, Geraghty was named Floridian of the Year by Florida Trend magazine for his outstanding leadership and will be inducted into the First Coast Business Hall of Fame by the Florida Council on Economic Education.

In addition to Geraghty, Leerie T. Jenkins, Jr. and John B. Ramil were elected to three-year terms at today’s meeting.
