Emcara Health, a national value-based medical group launched by PopHealthCare, announced today it has joined Moving Health Home, a coalition of stakeholders working to move more healthcare services into the home setting. Emcara Health is a recent expansion of PopHealthCare, a leader in home-based care and prospective/retrospective risk adjustment services.

Formed in March 2021, Moving Health Home members are working to change federal and state policies to enable the home to be a clinical site of care. The Washington D.C.-based advocacy group includes Amazon Care, hospital groups and in-home care providers such as Emcara Health who want to increase the availability to high-quality home-based healthcare services.

PopHealthCare Employees Team Up to Deliver Lifesaving Medication, Food During COVID-19

Sharon Daily has spent nearly three decades as a social worker caring for older adults and those with disabilities. But, the past few months have been unlike any other time. During COVID-19, her work has shifted from in-home visits to telephone check-in calls. And, the types of conversations she’s having with clients are different, too.

Prior to COVID-19, Daily helped health plan members navigate all aspects of their life. Now, she’s focused on making sure people are safe and their basic needs are met.

“Every phone call, every check-in is dealing with the more practical issues within life. We ask if they have enough food, who is grocery shopping for them, how are they getting their prescriptions,” she said.

Onlife Health and PopHealthCare commit $50,000 in COVID-19 support for Nashville

Onlife Health and PopHealthCare, together with their parent company GuideWell, announced today an initial investment of $50,000 for urgent health and safety needs in communities across the Nashville area in response to the COVID-19 public health crisis. The contributions will address middle Tennessee emergency assistance efforts.

Together, the Nashville-based companies Onlife and PopHealthCare employ 800 people in Tennessee and the donation will support emergency needs around their area offices. The gift from their parent company, GuideWell, is being made to the United Way of Greater Nashville COVID-19 Response Fund. The fund was recently established to quickly and effectively address both the health and economic challenges of this virus – for Tennesseans who have lost their job or are experiencing loss of income and other challenges due to closed establishments or cancelled events.
